Grafham, Great Staughton and Perry have made ‘net-zero’ carbon the goal and are Going Zero. The UK Gov has set a target to achieve a net-zero carbon footprint by 2050, how can our villages respond? This community project will work with households across all three villages to come up with innovative new solutions.
Our Big Project
Is to realise a renewable energy solution to supply heating and hot water to homes in all three villages. A funding application to the Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF) will potentially secure an initial feasibility study for this project by September 2020. This study will allow expert review of high-level technical options available, working with local landowners and Anglian Water.
To reduce our carbon footprint and install renewable alternatives to oil heating
To bring our communities together and consider the future
To help individual households become more energy efficient
Progress toward becoming Net-Zero villages!
